Who can hire a motorhome?

To hire a motorhome you will need a valid full driver’s license. You will also need to be between 30 and 79 years of age and to have held a valid full driving license for at least 2 years (Full UK, EU, AU & NZ licences are covered as standard). If you hold a licence issued outside these areas, please email us directly to enquire about insurance cover.

Two 3 point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2x SP30s, 3 points each) without referral. You will also need to have no more than one outstanding incident or claim in the last three years.

A copy of your photocard driver’s license and up to date proof of address and ID along with a DVLA check are a standard requirement to cover you on our insurance.

What’s included with the motorhome hire?

Bailey comes fully equipped with bedding, kitchen essentials, a full gas bottle, free wifi and a welcome pack to get you started.

Who provides the insurance?

Comprehensive insurance is included and provided by us for one driver only. Extra drivers can be added for £5 per person per day.

Are we limited to travel in Orkney?

Not at all! We’ve had families hiring our motorhomes travelling all over the UK and Europe.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Bailey is pet friendly – we accept up to 2 well behaved dogs in the motorhome. Should any unfortunate accidents occur, damaged caused will be charged in full.

Is smoking permitted?

There is a strict no smoking policy inside the motorhome, and any offenders will forfeit the deposit in full.

What does it cost?

Low season (Nov-Mar): £140 per night  or £800 per week.
Mid season (Apr & Oct): £150 per night or £900 per week.
Peak season (May-Sept): £170 per night or £1,050 per week.

* minimum 3 night hire. Hires of 2 weeks or more get a 10% discount off on the second week.
